On 21 October 2026, Alizia & Partners Law Office welcomed students from the Himpunan Mahasiswa Hukum Acara (HIMARA), Faculty of Law, Universitas Diponegoro, accompanied by Mr. Ahmad Nur Shadiq, as part of their field study program under the theme “Exploring Into Procedural Law Practice of Indonesia.”
The visit provided students with practical insights into case handling, the role and responsibilities of advocates, and the dynamics of professional legal practice. Through presentations, interactive discussions, and a Q&A session, students had the opportunity to explore the application of procedural law beyond the classroom.
The program also included an office tour, allowing participants to become more familiar with the working environment of a law firm and its day-to-day operations.

Lia Alizia Represents PERADI in Meeting with German Bundestag Delegation

Lia Alizia, Principal of Alizia & Partners Law Office and Chair of PERADI’s International Affairs Division, represented PERADI in a meeting with the German Bundestag’s ASEAN Parliamentary Friendship Group.
PERADI, under the leadership of Prof. Otto Hasibuan, was also represented by Rima Baskoro, Secretary of the International Affairs Division; Yakup Hasibuan, Deputy Secretary General; and Johannes Sahetapy Engel.
The discussion covered investment developments in Indonesia, the enforcement of Indonesian law and its practical challenges, access to justice, and the independence and accountability of advocates. Responding to the delegation’s questions, PERADI representatives also shared perspectives on Indonesia’s new Criminal Code, the draft law on private international law, developments in employment legislation, and the association’s activities and organisational developments.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to deepen mutual understanding of legal developments in Indonesia and Germany, including how each country addresses challenges within its legal system.

Our Principal, Lia Alizia, and Partner, Jonathan Toni Tjenggoro, participated in the 39th LAWASIA Conference 2026, held from 14–16 September 2026 in Seoul, South Korea, bringing together legal professionals from across the Asia-Pacific for discussions, exchange of perspectives, and professional networking.
Lia Alizia joined the Employment Law session as a Speaker, addressing “From Local Compliance to Global Accountability: Employment Law in an Era of ESG and Trade Enforcement.” Her presentation, “Rethinking Outsourcing: Legal Risk, Human Rights, ESG and Indonesia’s Global Commitments,” explored how the conversation around outsourcing is evolving beyond traditional employment-law compliance.
She highlighted that outsourcing today is no longer simply about what work can be outsourced or what the contract says. Companies are increasingly required to consider how outsourced workers are treated, how closely service providers are monitored, and where responsibility lies in practice. These considerations increasingly intersect with human rights, ESG, corporate governance, and global supply chains.
The session provided a valuable platform to exchange perspectives on the evolving employment landscape and the growing importance of responsible business practices beyond contractual compliance.

36th POLA Summit 2026: Criminal Law in Transition – Indonesia’s New Code and Global Perspectives

Alizia & Partners Law Office was pleased to have Lia Alizia, Chair of the International Affairs Division of PERADI, participate in the 36th Presidents of Law Associations in Asia (POLA) Summit, held in Jakarta from 6–8 September 2026. Hosted by the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Otto Hasibuan, S.H., M.M., the Summit brought together leaders and representatives of bar associations and law societies from across Asia, alongside international observers. Under the theme “Criminal Law in Transition: Indonesia’s New Code and Global Perspectives,” the Summit addressed key issues including corporate criminal liability, cybercrime and emerging offences, transnational banking crime, and the enforcement of transnational criminal law.
The programme featured keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Yusril Ihza Mahendra, S.H., M.Sc. and Yang Mulia Dr. H. Prim Haryadi, S.H., M.H., alongside perspectives from legal representatives across the region. As Chair of the International Affairs Division of PERADI, Lia Alizia welcomed delegates during their visit to the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia, highlighting the importance of strengthening international cooperation within the legal community. She also chaired the Presidents’ Summit, facilitating Country Reports and discussions among presidents and representatives on criminal justice reform, key legal developments, and challenges across their respective jurisdictions.
The 36th POLA Summit concluded with the handover to the All China Lawyers Association, which will host the 37th POLA Summit in Beijing. The event provided an important platform for continued dialogue, professional connections, and cooperation across the Asian legal community.
